Pragativadi State-Level Inter School-College Carrom Championship Concludes with Thrilling Wins

Rahul, Saitej, and Sushree Dominate Pragativadi Carrom Championship 2025!

In the Pragativadi State-Level Inter School-College Carrom Championship, D. Rahul, Saitej Maharana, and Sushree Pattnaik emerged as champions.


The competition, held on Saturday at Amrut Mahotsav Hall, saw intense action across categories.

In the college-level boys’ singles, Prananath College’s D. Rahul clinched the top spot with a dominant performance. KV’s K. Sanjay Kumar secured second place, while Stuart High School’s Abinash Pradhan took third.

In the school-level boys’ singles, East Coast Railway’s Saitej Maharana claimed first position. His teammate Dinesh Kumar finished second, and BJEM’s Mirza Sehroj Beg rounded off the podium in third.

The girls’ singles category was won by BJB College’s Sushree Pattnaik, with Samaigadia Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir’s Adyasha Sahu earning the runner-up spot.

Participants in the school-level boys’ singles included East Coast Railway School’s Saitej Maharana, Samaigadia Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir’s Pradeep Sahu, Ankit Mallick, Priyanshu Swain, Gautam Mandal, and Suryakant Behera, BJEM’s Mirza Sehroj Baig, Unit-8 DAV Public School’s Sohan Prusty, and East Coast Railway School’s Dinesh Kumar.

In the college-level boys’ singles, competitors featured Stuart’s Abinash Pradhan, Centurion’s Gadaya Nikhil, Capital Law’s Somanath Kamila, Maharshi’s Tanmay Ransingh, Kendriya Vidyalaya’s K. Sanjay Kumar, Jatni Degree College’s M. Binayee, BJB College’s Shubham Nayak, Capital Law’s Dhiraj Kumar Maharana, and Prananath College’s D. Rahul.

The girls’ singles saw BJB College’s Sushree Pattnaik and Samaigadia Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir’s Adyasha Sahu battling it out.

The matches were officiated by state-level umpire Swarnalata Das, national-level players Trinath Behera, and Satish Ranjan Samantaray. The event was organised under the supervision of BDCA President, Tournament Director and Chief Referee, Senior National Coach, Senior National Referee, and Senior National Umpire Eng. Sunil Pattnaik.

An award ceremony will soon be held at the Pragativadi premises, where meritorious participants will receive certificates and cash prizes. Additionally, all participants will be awarded certificates.

Pragativadi Sports 2025 encompasses multiple disciplines, including cricket, carrom, chess, table tennis, badminton, yoga, and musical chairs, aimed at fostering grassroots-level sports development.
