Bhubaneswar: In a reflection on the Biju Janata Dal’s (BJD) recent electoral defeat, Pradeep Majhi, a prominent leader from the party, has identified three primary reasons for the setback. Speaking at a meeting with party workers from Kalahandi and Nabarangpur districts, Majhi highlighted alliance speculation, internal infighting, and ineffective election management as the key factors behind the debacle.
Majhi pointed out that speculation about a potential alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) eroded the party’s credibility among minority voters, leading to a significant loss of support. He also noted that infighting among party leaders further weakened the BJD’s position, creating a fragmented front that was unable to present a united stance during the elections.
Additionally, Majhi criticized the party’s election management, citing poor strategic planning and execution as major contributors to the defeat. He emphasized the need for better coordination and more robust campaign strategies to regain the trust of the electorate.
