Jharsuguda: Police seized over 17 grams of brown sugar at Hanuman Temple Chowk, Kabarsthanpada in Jharsuguda district and arrested the peddler.
The smuggler has been identified as Chhotu Sendriya of Telibhatta under Sadar police station in Jharsuguda district.
Based on intelligence, the team of cops conducted a raid in that area and arrested the accused. Also, the police seized 17.39 grams of the contraband from his possession along with 52 small pieces of colour paper meant for brown sugar packing from the silver colour winter jacket and cash of Rs 1100.
