The Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPHWC) presented a dividend of Rs 21.28 crore to the state government for the financial year 2024–25, marking the highest payout in its history.
At a ceremony held in the Chief Secretary’s conference hall, OPHWC Chairman-cum-Managing Director Soumyendra Kumar Priyadarshi, IPS, handed over the cheque to Chief Secretary Anu Garg, IAS. Home Department Principal Secretary Radha Kishan Sharma, IPS, and senior officials attended the event.
OPHWC achieved remarkable growth in operational and financial performance, recording a turnover of Rs 1,520 crore in FY 2025–26 — an 11% increase from Rs 1,366 crore in the previous year. The corporation has consistently paid dividends to the state government since FY 2014–15, bringing the cumulative total to Rs 86.05 crore.
Recognised nationally for excellence in construction and timely project execution, OPHWC received the prestigious Vishwakarma Award from the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) for the Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Police Building (2025) and the new hostel at Gopabandhu Academy of Administration (2026).
Currently, OPHWC is executing major projects including the Tarakasi Hub in Cuttack, Excise Building in Bhubaneswar, model jail in Bhubaneswar, Jajpur District Jail, Paradip Blue Flag Beach, Dumduma Waterfall development, and Jirang tourism infrastructure. It also undertakes statewide bus terminal construction for OSRTC.
Through efficiency, financial discipline, and timely project delivery, OPHWC continues to strengthen its role as a leading state enterprise driving Odisha’s infrastructure development.
