Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation in the 129th episode of his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat, reflecting on key moments of 2025 as the country prepares to welcome the new year. The Prime Minister highlighted achievements and shared experiences that, according to him, strengthened national unity and collective pride.

2025: A Year of Shared Confidence and National Pride

Recalling the past year, PM Modi said 2025 offered many reasons for Indians to feel confident about the nation’s direction. He spoke about moments that brought people together across regions, communities, and generations, reinforcing a shared sense of responsibility towards the country’s future.

Operation Sindoor: A Symbol of National Resolve

A central focus of the address was Operation Sindoor, which the Prime Minister described as a symbol of pride for every Indian. He said the operation clearly demonstrated that modern India does not compromise on its security or sovereignty.

According to PM Modi, the global response to Operation Sindoor reflected widespread respect for India’s firm stand on national safety. He noted that Indians living abroad also expressed strong emotional support, showcasing unity and deep-rooted commitment to the nation.

“Operation Sindoor became a symbol of pride for every Indian. The world saw that today’s Bharat stands firm on its security,” the Prime Minister said.

Unity Beyond Borders

PM Modi added that during Operation Sindoor, expressions of love and devotion towards the nation emerged from all corners of the world. He said these moments highlighted the strong bond Indians share with their homeland, regardless of where they live.

150 Years of Vande Mataram and National Spirit

Linking Operation Sindoor with other milestones, the Prime Minister referred to the completion of 150 years of Vande Mataram. He said the same spirit of patriotism and unity was visible across the country during the India-Pakistan conflict period.

Such moments, he noted, serve as reminders of shared values and strengthen the sense of collective responsibility among citizens.

Looking Ahead

Concluding his address, PM Modi said the experiences of 2025 would continue to inspire the nation in the years ahead. He emphasized that the unity, pride, and determination shown by Indians throughout the year would guide India’s journey forward.

Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7, 2025, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), following the April 22 Pahalgam attack in Jammu and Kashmir in which 26 civilians lost their lives.
