One person was killed while 25 others sustained injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident on the NH 55 near Jujumura tehsil office in Sambalpur district on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Srikant Majhi of Dangarpada village.
As per reports, the mishap occurred while some catering employees were going to attend a marriage ceremony from Dangarpada to Mochibahal. Srikant Majhi died on the spot. The injured persons have been admitted to the Jujumara Hospital. Police have initiated an investigation into this.
