One Dead, Over 10 Injured After Bus Overturns In Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A person was killed while over 10 passengers sustained injuries after a passenger bus carrying them overturned mid-way in Daspalla area of Nayagarh district on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Kalyani Panda, Manager of Odisha Gramya Bank (OGB), Daspalla branch. According to reports, the incident took place while the ill-fated bus ‘Kaleswar’ was en route to Nayagarh from Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district when the vehicle turned turtle after the driver lost balance on the wheels near Gudibida area. On being informed, police along with fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. The injured persons were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.
