Acclaimed Indian filmmaker, Jitendra Mishra, has been unanimously elected as the President of the International Centre of Films for Children and Young People (CIFEJ) for the term 2025–2027.
This UNESCO-backed organization, with its headquarters in Athens, Greece, promotes culturally diverse and educational films for young audiences. Jitendra’s election highlights his remarkable leadership and dedication to advancing youth-focused cinema on a global scale.
Under Jitendra’s presidency, CIFEJ aims to further its mission of fostering creative, educational, and inspiring audio-visual content for children and youth. The organization’s newly elected board features experts from countries including Canada, Cyprus, China, Tunisia, Romania, Iran, and Japan, reflecting the widespread support for Jitendra’s vision.
Jitendra, also the Festival Director of Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFFCY), has revolutionized the use of cinema for awareness and social impact. His work continues to inspire young minds and promote cultural diversity worldwide.
