Sambalpur: Professor Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra, who is currently serving as a professor at the Business Administration dept in Sambalpur University, was on Thursday appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Odisha State Open University here.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub Section (1) read with Sub Section (5) of Section 10 of Odisha State Open University Act, 2014( Odisha Act of 2015), Governor and Chancellor of Universities has been pleased to appoint Prof Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra as Vice-Chancellor of Odisha State Open University, Sambalpur,” read the Government notification.
Mohapatra will serve as the VC of Odisha State Open University for a period of three years with effect from the date he assumes office.
