Odisha Govt Raises Daily & Retainer Fees Of State Law Officers By 50%

Bhubaneswar: On behalf of the state government, the Daily and Retainer Fees of Non-Cadre Law Officers handling litigation in various courts have been increased by 50 per cent. This will benefit 1215 Law Officers working in various courts.

Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has increased the Daily and Retainer Fees of Law Officers of the state.

According to the increased fees, 184 Additional Public Prosecutors who are working on daily fees will get Rs 1,875 compared to the Rs 1,250 they were getting earlier. Similarly, earlier the retainer fees were Rs 8,200 but now they will be getting Rs 12,300.

In addition, 740 working Assistant Public Prosecutors who were getting Rs 1,100 as daily fees will now get Rs 1,650. As regards retainer fees, they will get Rs 6,000, while earlier they were getting Rs 4,000. Eighty-five Special Public Prosecutors who were previously getting Rs 1,250 as daily fees will now get Rs 1,875.

Regarding retainer fees, they will get Rs 12,300 compared to Rs 8,200 they were getting earlier. Twenty-nine Government Pleaders and 113 Assistant Government Pleaders who were previously receiving Rs 8,200 as retainer fees will now receive Rs 12,300.
