In a spiritually charged development that has set hearts racing across Odisha and beyond, the state government has taken the first concrete step toward launching a dedicated television channel in the sacred name of Lord Jagannath – the Lord of the Universe and the eternal heartbeat of millions.

A high-level meeting chaired by Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan was held today at the Law Department conference hall in Lok Seva Bhawan to discuss the creation of this exclusive Jagannath TV channel.

The session focused on crafting a vibrant blueprint that would not only showcase the daily rituals, festivals, and timeless culture of Shree Jagannath but also carry the divine essence of the deity to every corner of the globe.

Minister Harichandan described the initial discussions as “highly positive and promising.” He emphasised that the proposed channel would serve as a powerful medium to introduce Jagannath culture to the entire world, encourage deeper research and scholarly dialogue, and beautifully articulate the profound emotions and experiences of millions of devotees. “The state government is viewing this proposal with great positivity,” he said, adding that further detailed deliberations and a comprehensive roadmap would be prepared soon.

Senior officials, including Shree Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee and top bureaucrats from the Law Department, actively participated in the meeting, bringing rich insights into how the channel could blend devotion, culture, education, and entertainment.

For countless devotees who have long dreamed of a 24×7 platform that resonates with the Mahaprabhu’s divine presence, today’s development feels like a long-awaited divine blessing. If realised, the channel could become a virtual chariot carrying Lord Jagannath’s glory far beyond the sands of Puri – straight into the hearts and homes of spiritual seekers worldwide.
