Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday asked the district authorities to vaccinate the 2nd dose due beneficiaries of health care workers, frontline workers, and citizens aged above 18 years on a priority basis.

Additional Chief Secretary (Health), PK Mohapatra, in a letter, asked all district authorities including civic body authorities to inoculate HCWs, FLWs, and citizens above 18 years, who are yet to receive their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“With the analysis of the database in the Co-WIN portal (9th June 2021). 64,465 numbers of HCWs, 34,893 FLWs, and 93,191 citizens in the State, who are already due for 2nd dose vaccination, but yet to be vaccinated,” the letter read.

“The state authorities are requested to use the line list of beneficiaries duo for 2nd dose and to track & mobilize there through ASHAs /AVVWs/HWs for immediate vaccination,” the letter added.

The Health dept ACS has requested the authorities concerned to regularly monitor the 2nd dose coverage CVC wise / Block wise for timely vaccination of due beneficiaries.

Districts /MCs may plan for on-site vaccination of such drop-out beneficiaries on priority at the nearby CVC,” Mohapatra added.
