In a move aimed at giving a continuous push to sustainable transport, the Government of Odisha has extended the validity period of the Odisha Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021 until December 31, 2026.
According to an official Notification by the Commerce and Transport Department, the extension has been granted by exercising powers conferred under para-11.5 of the original policy framework.
The framework established under the Odisha Electric Vehicle Policy, 2021, which was scheduled to lapse, is now fully active through December 31, 2026.
Vehicle buyers, EV manufacturers, and charging station installers in the state will continue to benefit under the operational guidelines laid out in paragraph 11.5 of the policy.
The extension is expected to provide stability for electric vehicle buyers and charging infrastructure developers across Odisha as the state works toward its broader green mobility and carbon reduction targets.
