The three-day flagship event, the 7th Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) 2026, concluded successfully today at MAYFAIR Sanctuary in Bhubaneswar, marking a major milestone in strengthening the state’s global and domestic tourism footprint.
Organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha, in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the marketplace brought together over 200 buyers and more than 100 regional tourism businesses to foster strategic trade relationships.
The seventh edition saw participation from 145 domestic tour operators representing 32 Indian cities alongside 45 foreign tour operators spanning 27 countries.
A major highlight of OTB 2026 was the facilitation of more than 9,000 structured Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings, enabling hospitality brands, destination management teams, and tour operators to establish long-term commercial ties.
The event also placed a strong emphasis on driving capital investments into the state’s hospitality and infrastructure sectors:
- Hospitality Engagement: Around 40 leading national hospitality brands and 250 state-based investors participated in dedicated investment sessions.
- Investor Support: Officials highlighted the State Government’s progressive policy framework, investor incentives, streamlined single-window clearances, and available land banks aimed at easing business setup.
- FAM Tours: Eight curated Familarisation (FAM) tours were conducted across various circuits to showcase Odisha’s heritage, eco-tourism, beaches, wildlife, and tribal culture to hosted buyers.
Positioning the state as a premier destination for corporate conventions and events, the travel bazaar featured a high-level roundtable on Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism. During the session, the official Odisha MICE Incentive Portal was inaugurated—a dedicated digital platform designed to streamline financial incentive applications and facilitate corporate convention hosting.
Emphasizing experience-led tourism, the event also highlighted the state’s rich culinary heritage through the presence of Celebrity Chef and Official Brand Ambassador for Odia Cuisine, Ranveer Brar.
The successful wrap-up of OTB 2026 underscores Odisha’s ongoing strategy to promote sustainable, cultural, and business-driven tourism on a global scale.
