Bhubaneswar: To strengthen the Public Relations activities and functioning of Government in different Departments and keep the people of the State informed of different people-centric policies and schemes, the Odisha Cabinet has decided to restructure the Odisha Information Service (OIS) Cadre by creating 61 posts at different levels of the cadre and simultaneous abolition of 4 posts.
The restructuring will also render the Cadre dynamic on account of the increased scope of accelerated upward mobility of the Cadre officers, according to an official release.
According to the decision of the Cabinet, the cadre of Odisha Information Service is restructured with the creation of 46 posts and the abolition of 4 posts at the level of SDIPRO (OIS-II).
The newly created 46 posts of SDIPRO (OIS-II) include 20 posts of SDIPRO to cover all the subdivisions of the State, 8 posts of PRO for the group of Departments, 2 posts of PRO for Social Media Activities, 2 posts of PRO for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack Municipal Corporations, 6 posts of PRO for six important offices of the Government and remaining 8 posts of Leave, Training and Deputation Reserve Officer.
10 posts are being created in the rank of DIPRO (OIS-JB), which include 4 posts i) Manager, Publications, (II) Stores Officer, (III) Research and Reference Officer, (IV) DIPRO, Rourkela being taken out of the SDIPRO (OIS-II) level, one post of PRO for OLA, one post of Asst Director (Social Media) and remaining 4 posts of Leave, Training and Deputation Reserve Officer.
2 posts are being created both in the ranks of Deputy Director and Joint Director and one post is being created at the level of Additional Director.
