Cuttack: Odisha Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids at 12 places associated with the Additional Chief Engineer of OBCC on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The accused has been identified as Pradeep Kumar Rath, Additional Chief Engineer, Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC), office at Chief Construction Engineer, R & B Cuttack Circle.
Odisha Vigilance is conducting simultaneous house searches led by 9 DSPs, 11 Inspectors, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack at the following 12 places in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jajpur, and Khordha. ?
1. The residential house of Rath located at Satya Vihar, Pandara, Rasulgarh, Unit- 38, Bhubaneswar.
2. Apartment(B-2) of Rath, located at Oyster Apartment, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
3. Double storeyed building of Rath located at Jagannahpur(Acharya Nagar), Bhadrak town, Dist- Bhadrak.
4. Office room of Rath, located at the O/o Chief Construction Engineer R & B Circle, Barabati Stadium, Cuttack.
5. The paternal house of Rath is located at Village Purusandha, PO; B.T.Pur PS; Agarpada Dist; Bhadrak.
6. Another paternal house of Rath located at Village-Randiasasan PO; Randiahat, PS/Dist; Bhadrak.
7. Construction of any structure/house, if any, over the plots available at Jajpur.
8. Construction of any structure/house, if any, over the plots available at Khordha.
9. Construction of any structure/house, if any, over the plots available at Cuttack.
10. Residential house of his close associate located at Jajpur town, Dist; Jajpur.
11. Residential house of his other associate located at Shastri Nagar Bhubaneswar, Dist; Khordha.
12. The medicine store of his son located at Indradhanu Market, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Sri Rath and his family members;
1) Residential triple-storeyed building at Satya Vihar, Pandara, Bhubaneswar.
2) Another residential triple-storeyed building at Bhadrak.
3) 1 Flat at Oyster Apartment at Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
4) 1 Flat at Patrapada, Bhubaneswar.
5) 1 Crusher Unit in Dhenkanal.
6) 1 Medicine store-cum-residence of area approx. 1000 Sqft. at Indradhanu market, Nayapali, Bhubaneswar.
7) 42 plots in upscale areas Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Bhdrak & Jajpur, of which 3 in Bhubaneswar, 1 in Khordha, 2 in Cuttack, 2 in Bhadrak, 2 in Dhenkanal & 32 in Jajpur.
The above plots were purchased by Sri Rath in different years in his name as well as in the name of his family members. The total registered sale deed value comes to over Rs.1.05 Crore. However, the actual value is likely to be higher, which is being verified.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings, flats, Crusher Unit, Medicine store and plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
8) Fixed deposits in different Banks & Post Office worth Rs.88 Lakhs.
9) Insurance & other deposits are under verification.
10) 1 four-wheeler (Eco Sports), 2 JCBs, 1 Excavator and 2 two-wheelers.
