Bhubaneswar: Holiday seasons are a time when people want to spend quality time with loved ones while setting aside the wintry weekends for picnics and family outings.
In tune with the festive spirit, Nandankanan Zoological Park is also busy making arrangements to handle the increasing footfall during this time of the year.
The visitors can book the entry ticket through online or WhatsApp which will help them to spend more time inside the zoo instead of standing in a queue for a ticket. Meanwhile, there will be some temporary ticket counters to reduce the rush in permanent ticket counters.
The fire department along with the medical team will be on alert for the safety of the tourists. In view of pickpockets and riots, a platoon of police will be deployed.
Worth mentioning, the Zoo will remain closed on December 26 and January 2, both fall on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, informed the Zoo authorities.
