A shocking incident unfolded in Cuttack district on Thursday morning when the body of a young physiotherapist was discovered behind his rented house in the Olatpur police station area.
The deceased has been identified as Ruhan Kakati, a native of Assam. Local residents spotted the body early in the morning and immediately alerted the police. A team from Olatpur police station reached the spot, recovered the body, and began a preliminary investigation.
Reports revealed that Kakati completed his physiotherapy studies in Assam before moving to Olatpur nearly four years ago to pursue an internship at the Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR). After completing his internship, he continued to live in Olatpur in a rented two-storey house while practising physiotherapy.
Kakati frequently travelled to Assam whenever possible. He had returned to Cuttack from Assam just a day before the incident and was reportedly accompanied by a friend.
