Miscreants broke into an ATM, stole a large amount of cash and after looting they set the ATM ablaze in Panchubati, under Sadar police station limits in Dhenkanal district.
They also attempted to destroy evidence by smashing the CCTV camera and hard disk.
The police quickly responded, pursuing the robbers and arresting two suspects in a car near the Motanga police station area. However, the other robbers managed to escape with the stolen cash in a different vehicle, evading capture.
A police team is currently working to apprehend the remaining robbers, who are believed to be heading toward Sambalpur.
