Bhubaneswar: A shop owner was hospitalized after being attacked by some unidentified miscreants following an argument near Botanda in Sundarpada area of Bhubaneswar on Friday night.
The victim was identified as Sipu Behera.
According to reports, two miscreants arrived at Sipu’s shop and bought some items. Later, an argument broke between them over some issue. Irked over the argument, the miscreants attacked Sipu with sharp weapons and fled from the spot. Sipu sustained severe injuries on his hands.
Sipu was immediately admitted to AIIMS, Bhubaneswar for treatment. Though the exact reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the miscreants might have attacked him following a past enmity.
