Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have reportedly parted ways with long-serving batting coach Michael Hussey as part of a massive coaching overhaul ahead of IPL 2027.
The decision brings an end to a storied association of over 15 years, during which the former Australian batter won two IPL titles as a player and three more as part of the coaching staff.
According to reports, Hussey has been formally informed of the decision and is already in talks with other franchises regarding potential support staff roles for the upcoming season.
His exit marks the latest major shift in CSK’s backroom hierarchy following the departures of long-time head coach Stephen Fleming and bowling coach Eric Simons.
Franchise legend MS Dhoni is reportedly playing a pivotal role in driving these backroom changes, which have already seen former India pacer Zaheer Khan appointed as head coach and Mohit Sharma named bowling coach.
As the franchise continues reviewing its coaching setup, all eyes remain on who will succeed Hussey in the batting dugout for IPL 2027.
