The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) hosted the 5th Candidate Open House for interns of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS).

This online session provided a platform for interns to share their life-changing experiences and professional growth journeys. Over 550 participants attended, including MCA officials, interns, and stakeholders, highlighting the program’s wide reach and success.

In collaboration with organizations like HDFC Bank and ONGC, the PMIS has emerged as a stepping stone for aspiring professionals. HDFC Bank’s HR Lead, Mr. Priyo Roop Guha, shared how the initiative has placed over 130 interns across India since December 2024, equipping them with essential skills and offering pathways for full-time employment.

The Open House also featured inspiring stories of three remarkable interns:

  1. Niraj (Uttar Pradesh): A history graduate who transitioned into finance and banking with hands-on learning at HDFC Bank.
  2. Astha (Bihar): A commerce graduate from a small town, who overcame personal challenges and now excels as a banking professional.
  3. Pralay (West Bengal): An economics graduate who left a fixed-salary job for the internship to gain deeper insights and career advancement in the banking sector.

The PMIS continues to empower youth, fostering skill development and confidence. Applications for Round 2 are open until April 22, 2025. Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply via the .
