Keonjhar: A man allegedly bludgeoned his wife to death at Satyapala village under Harichandanpur village in Keonjhar district. The deceased has been identified as Dukhi Patra from the same village.
Reportedly, Bimbadhar Patra and his wife Dukhi had a heated exchange of words last night over a particular issue. Losing his cool, Bimbadhar attacked Dukhi leaving her grievously injured.
Later, in the morning, family members along with the neigbours rushed the victim to Harichandanpur community health centre. However, doctors declared her ‘brought dead’.
On being informed, police reached the spot and arrested the accused after sending the body for post-mortem.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway in this regard, sources said.
