A man attempted to rape a woman and her 10-year-old daughter at the Baramunda Bus Terminal in Bhubaneswar while they were waiting for a bus.
The accused, Pabitra Kanhar, 39, from Begunipada in Ganjam district, approached the duo as they rested at the terminal. He allegedly tried to assault them, prompting the woman to raise an alarm and file a complaint with Bharatpur police.
Responding swiftly, the police launched a search operation and arrested Kanhar while he was trying to escape. Officers confirmed that the suspect is now in custody and will face legal action.
