Bhubaneswar: The Lingaraj temple controversy continues on second day, daily rituals remained suspended in the temple on Thursday. Lord Lingaraj has gone without food for two days now.
Land dispute in Lingaraj temple on Tuesday has led to the stoppage of daily rituals since yesterday, said reports. It was alleged that during the construction, work of the temple was stopped due to other various challenges.
The Puja Panda and the Brahmin Niyog are adamant in stopping the Niti Kanti (rituals) following the Lingaraj temple controversy, pointing out that there is a major lack of arrangements and land related issues.
