Kandhamal: The Forest personnel has arrested a poacher with the seizure of leopard skin from his possession in Sudrukumpa range under Phulbani Forest Division in Kandhamal district.
The accused has been identified as Kabi Chandra Kanhar of Kutibari village.
As per reports, Kabi had killed the leopard and hide the animal’s skin, nails, and bones in the forest in order to sell it later.
Acting on a tip-off regarding the plan, the officials raided the area and found leopard skin along with other items hidden on a tree in the forest.
The cops also seized a gun, nine live bullets, gunpowder, and one axe from his possession.
