Bhubaneswar: The Switzerland of Odisha, Koraput district is all set to welcome tourists as the district administration on Tuesday allowed the reopening of all religious institutions except Gupteshwar Temple across the district from August 3.
The famous Gupteshwar Temple will remain shut during the month of Sharavana and the district administration has issued guidelines in this regard.
“All religious institutions will make provision for two separate lanes (Men and Women) with two yards round mark for maintenance of physical distancing. There will be separate entry and exit points, wherever feasible. Wearing of face mask, use of sanitizer, maintenance of Physical Distancing is mandatory. Thermal screening of each and every devotee at the entry point has been made mandatory,” said the order.
“Anyone found violating the COVID-19 safety protocols during the visit/darshan/worship inside outside the religious institution/place of worship will be punished as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and Regulations issued thereunder besides criminal action under Section 188 of the IPC and other legal provisions as applicable,” stated the order.
The Tahasildar-cum-incident Commanders & IIC of the local police Stations shall constitute a proper enforcement squad and make random visits to the religious institutions or places of worship in their respective jurisdiction to ensure that COVID-19 Protocol is followed, read the order.
