Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Odisha unit Sunday appointed senior leader and Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra as its Leader of Opposition (LoP) on Saturday.
At a presser here at the State BJP Office, Odisha unit President Samir Mohanty and Odisha BJP co-in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar announced that the party has appointed Jayanarayan Mishra as LoP in Assembly after approval by the central leadership.
Notably, Pradipta Kumar Nayak, who was leader of opposition, is in hospital in New Delhi due to prolonged illness.
