Mohali: After slamming an unbeaten 175, Ravindra Jadeja bagged five wickets to put India on top in the first Test against Sri Lanka at Mohali on Day three.
India bowled out to Sri Lanka for a total of 174 on Sunday and lead Sri Lanka by 400, but have enforced a follow-on on the visitors.
Nissanka completed his fifty but Sri Lanka continued to lose wickets at the other end. Sri Lanka had resumed play from their overnight score of 108 for 4.
Resuming Day 2 from 357/6, Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin’s 130-run partnership powered India to a dominant position.
