In a formal ceremony held at Lok Bhavan, IPS officer Anugu Shiva Maruthi Reddy assumed charge as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Tuesday.
Governor Dr. Kambhampati personally welcomed the officer into his new role. The event was attended by senior officials from the Governor’s Secretariat, including Commissioner-cum-Secretary Dr. Roopa Roshan Sahoo.
Before this prestigious posting, Reddy served as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of G. Udayagiri. He succeeds IPS officer Ananya Awasthi, who previously held the position of Police ADC to the Governor.
Odisha’s Governor is assisted by two ADCs—one drawn from the Indian Navy and the other from the Odisha Police. Currently, Lieutenant Harshita Deo continues as the Naval ADC, while Reddy has taken over as the Police ADC.
ADCs play a vital role in supporting the Governor during official functions, ceremonial events, and protocol-related duties, ensuring smooth coordination of the Raj Bhavan’s day-to-day operations.
