Bolangir: Police busted an inter-state dacoit gang in Bolangir district on Friday and arrested nine members of the gang.
The arrested persons have been identified as

4. Saklal Singh, Vill-Jamnitala,PS-Sohagpur,Dist-Narmadapuram,MP
5. Raju Pawhar, Vill-Turakapa,PS-Sohagpur,Dist-Narmadapuram,MP
6. Bantu Dehelia,Vill-Jamnitala,PS- Sohagpur,Dist-Narmadapuram,MP
7. Nilesh Deepak Kale,Vill-Natnagar,PS-Satara,Dist-Aurangabad,MH
8. Akshaylalju Chawhan, Vill-Mohannagar, PS-Bhirbala, Dist-Aurangabad, MH
9. Goparanjan Prusty, Vill-Barpali, Dist-Bargarh
Based on the clues obtained by the cyber and CCTV analysis team, multiple teams were formed comprising staff and officers of Loisinga PS, Patnagarh PS, Town Police and Cyber PS/Cell. These teams apprehended the above-mentioned accused persons and seized stolen articles from their possession.

i. Gold ornaments fitted with a stone weighing about 160.463 grams
ii. Silver ornaments fitted with a stone weighing about 1708.42 grams
iii. Cash of rs 2,03,700
iv. Bank accounts frozen with Rs 3,40,616 balance.
v. One stolen Honda Activa Scooty
vi. One silver colour wristwatch
vii. 07 numbers of mobile phones
viii. Other house-breaking equipment & articles
On 27.07.2024 basing the written report of the complainant Phalguni Bisi of Sarasmunda village of Bolangir, the aforesaid case was registered where the complainant alleged that he was working as a night watcher at Bharat Gas godown.
On the intervening night of dt 26/27.07.2024 at about 12.00 AM, 10-12 unknown persons suddenly entered into their godown took him to the backside and threatened him to hand over the cash or other property available.
Before this incident also, a series of burglary cases had occurred under different Police Stations in Bolangir district including in Lathor PS, Patnagarh PS and Bolangr Town PS area.
During the investigation of the aforesaid case with the help of analysis of CCTV footage available from different places and with the help of Cyber PS and cyber cell staff it is ascertained that some outsiders who were staying near Balangir Road Rly Station are suspected of being involved in these cases.
