Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo issued a travel advisory on Tuesday announcing the cancellation of all flights to and from four major Saudi Arabian cities—Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah—until Oct 17.
The decision comes in response to the volatile security situation in the region.
The airline urged passengers to verify their flight status online before heading to airports. “Your safety and well-being remain our top priority. We are in constant coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure safe operations,” IndiGo stated.

The suspension follows the extended closure of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh after repeated missile strikes by Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi rebels. Authorities shut down operations at the kingdom’s second-busiest hub to complete safety and operational assessments after late-night ballistic missile attacks.
With skies over the capital severely impacted, international airlines have scrambled to alter routes and cancel operations, disrupting regional travel schedules.
