A girl booked for allegedly using abusive and objectionable language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar has reportedly issued a public apology in a video that is now widely circulating on social media.

In the viral video, the girl says she regrets her remarks and describes the incident as her “first and last mistake.” She claims that she made the statements after coming under the influence of others present at the protest.

“I came under the influence of some people at the protest and said a lot of bad things against the Prime Minister,” she says in the video, according to reports by multiple media outlets.

The video has attracted widespread attention online. However, Hindustan Times stated that it could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

The case has also raised questions over the girl’s age. While the FIR reportedly identifies her as 25 years old, the girl claims in the apology video that she is “just 15 years old.” The discrepancy has not been officially clarified.

In the video, she apologises for her actions and says she will not repeat such behaviour in the future, calling it her “first and last mistake.”

The incident is linked to a protest held at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on July 23, where police registered a case over alleged abusive remarks made against the Prime Minister. Authorities have not yet issued an official statement addressing the viral apology video or the conflicting claims regarding the girl’s age.

The matter continues to draw attention on social media as discussions around the video’s authenticity and the ongoing investigation continue.
