India Celebrates National Technology Day: PM Modi Reaffirms Commitment to Innovation

On May 11, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt greetings on National Technology Day, commemorating India’s scientific achievements and its journey toward self-reliance.


In an X post, the Prime Minister wrote;

“Best wishes on National Technology Day! This is a day to express pride and gratitude to our scientists and remember the 1998 Pokhran tests. They were a landmark event in our nation’s growth trajectory, especially in our quest towards self-reliance.

Powered by our people, India is emerging as a global leader in different aspects of technology, be it space, AI, digital innovation, green technology and more. We reaffirm our commitment to empowering future generations through science and research. May technology uplift humanity, secure our nation and drive futuristic growth.”

Recalling the historic 1998 Pokhran nuclear tests, PM Modi acknowledged the dedication of Indian scientists, emphasising their role in propelling the nation toward technological excellence.

Taking to social media, the Prime Minister reiterated India’s emergence as a global leader in technological advancements, spanning space exploration, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and green technologies.

He reassured the nation of the government’s unwavering commitment to empower future generations through investments in science and research, stressing the role of technology in uplifting humanity, securing the country, and ensuring futuristic progress.
