IBM Consulting inaugurated its new FutureNow Centre in Bhubaneswar, marking a major expansion of its presence in Odisha.
The state-of-the-art facility will strengthen IBM’s Hybrid Cloud and AI Consulting capabilities while supporting global clients from India.
The inauguration took place on March 31, led by Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, Additional Chief Secretary of the Electronics & IT and Energy Departments, alongside Amit Sharma, Managing Partner – Global Delivery, IBM Consulting, and dignitaries from the Government of Odisha and IBM.
Shri Vishal Kumar Dev said the expansion reflects growing confidence in Bhubaneswar as a leading IT and global delivery hub in Eastern India. He emphasised that the initiative aligns with Odisha’s strategic focus on semiconductors, data centres, and digital infrastructure.
IBM’s FutureNow Centre will accelerate digital transformation and economic growth in the region. The company plans to recruit talent from leading universities in Odisha, creating new employment opportunities and strengthening the state’s innovation ecosystem.
Amit Sharma highlighted that IBM’s expanding presence in emerging cities like Bhubaneswar demonstrates the company’s commitment to building advanced delivery capabilities and fostering local talent. The FutureNow Centre will serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and technology-driven solutions.
