Bhadrak: A huge cache of illicit liquor was confiscated by excise officials in multiple raids across Bhadrak district. The estimated value of the alcohol is Rs 2 lakh, informed police.
Acting multiple reports, the sleuths of the excise department conducted a raid and seized 450 ltrs of illicit liquor and a motorcycle during the raid in Agarpada Bazar. Following this, three persons were arrested in this connection.
In another raid, police seized 100 litres of illicit liquor from a motorcycle at Manjuri road Bazar and College square under Bhandaripokhari police station limits in the district. Reportedly, police intercepted the two motorcycles. The cops also arrested two persons in this connection.
The raid was conducted under the direction of the district collector, Gyana Das, and the District excise officer Gautam Sahu along with other excise officials.
