Gajapati: In a major crackdown, police along with the excise officials have destroyed cannabis cultivation spread over 103 acres of land in R Udaygiri block of Gajapati district on Tuesday.
The estimated value of the destroyed crops is over Rs 20 crore, officials informed.
Acting on reliable input, the joint team conducted a raid near Anugur village under R Udaygiri police limits and set ablaze the illegal ganja cultivation spread on acres of land.
It is pertinent to mention that the cops have ‘Operation green clean’ in order to curb the smuggling of ganja in the state.
