Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya stepped away from the cricket pitch to showcase his athletic versatility, defeating popular internet creator Jimmy Donaldson (MrBeast) in a high-stakes baseball home run challenge.
Pandya won the top prize of $100,000 (approximately ₹94.9 lakh) in the newly released video feature, immediately pledging the entire sum to charitable organizations supporting underprivileged children and rescue dogs.
Home Run Victory and $100K Charity Pledge
The video featured MrBeast bringing together prominent international athletes from diverse sporting disciplines to compete in a head-to-head home run derby.
Trading his cricket bat for a baseball bat, the 33-year-old all-rounder out-hit MrBeast to claim the $100,000 grand prize.
Rather than retaining the earnings, Pandya announced that the entire prize money would be split between animal welfare groups assisting dogs in need and non-profit organizations supporting underprivileged children.
Extended Absence from International Cricket
While making headlines off the field, Pandya’s ongoing absence from competitive cricket continues to be a subject of discussion.
Pandya last represented Team India during the 2026 T20 World Cup final in Ahmedabad, with his last competitive outing occurring on May 24, 2026, during the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Mumbai Indians.
The all-rounder sat out India’s home series against Afghanistan, subsequent tours of Ireland and England, and the home ODI series against the West Indies. He is also set to miss India’s ongoing tour of New Zealand as he continues his recovery and fitness routine.
