Google Chrome Gets Tab Grouping Feature With Grid View On Android

New Delhi: Google Chrome browser has started rolling out ‘Tab Groups’ for android devices. This new layout reportedly replaces the vertically arranged list of cards on the screen with smaller tabs. However, you can see more of the page without it being concealed by other cards. With the new view, Android users also get to use tab groups on Google Chrome, where they can drag and drop one tab on another in order to form groups.

To see the view, just press the number icon next to the address bar to get to the ‘Grid View’. Here, you can see the tabs appearing as small boxes. If you want to group two or more tabs, just drag them to one tab.

The new Tab Groups layout is coming to Android users only now but it has been available on iOS for quite some time. It’s a much easier and convenient way to browse through different tabs on Chrome. Google has started rolling out this feature in Chrome version 88 for Android but some users have reportedly received it earlier through a server-side update.
