Odisha has formally published its final electoral roll after completing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 exercise.
The announcement came after a high-level meeting between Chief Electoral Officer R.S. Gopalan and representatives of all recognised political parties in the state.
The exercise was designed to produce a clean, accurate and publicly acceptable voter list. New eligible voters have been added, names of deceased and permanently shifted electors have been deleted, and necessary corrections have been completed. Officials described the process as a major step toward greater transparency in the electoral system.
During the meeting, CEO Gopalan handed over one soft copy and one hard copy of the final voter list to each party representative. He emphasised that the Election Commission of India had directed the consultation to keep every recognised party informed and involved.
The final rolls are now on display at all polling stations across Odisha. From 21 September 2026, members of the public can also inspect them at the offices of Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs). Recognised political parties have already received official copies.
The lists are available online on the Election Commission of India portal (https://voters.eci.gov.in) and the Odisha CEO website (https://ceoodisha.nic.in).
Senior officials present at the meeting included Additional CEO Sushant Kumar Mishra, Financial Advisor Sanjay Kumar Lugun, Joint CEO Gopinath Kuanr, Deputy CEOs Dr. Laxmiprasad Sahu and Anamika Singh, Deputy Secretary Dinamani Naik, and Administrative Officer Saswat Pradhan, along with representatives of all recognised political parties.
Election officials said the publication of the final list marks the successful close of SIR-2026 and strengthens public confidence in the electoral process ahead of future polls.
