Kandhamal: A youth allegedly strangled his grandmother to death for failing to give him food on time. The incident was reported from Kambaguda village under Baliguda block of Kandhamal district.
The deceased has been identified as Sarojini Pradhan.
According to reports, an argument ensued between the accused Manoj and Sarojini over delay in serving food. Meanwhile, in a fit of rage, the youth strangled his grandmother with a towel.
On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant Sections of IPC, said sources.
