Nabarangpur: Vigilace sleuths on Friday conducted a raid on multiple places in connection with a disproportionate case involving Nabarangpur Deputy Superintendent of Excise, Ganga Paikray.
According to sources, a team of the anti-corruption wing carried out a raid at his residence near DS 3 cinema hall. The officer is suspected to have accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The searches are being conducted in Nabarangpur, Jaypore and other four places led by 3 DSPs, 5 Inspectors, 6 ASIs and other staff of Odisha Vigilance on strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge of Vigilance.
The details regarding the total value of assets owned by the superintendent would be ascertained only after the completion of the raids, informed an official.
