Professor Gopal Prasad Bej, a renowned scholar and preacher of Ramcharitmanas, passed away while delivering a religious discourse in Bhadrak, Odisha.
The event was part of the Shri Ramcharitmanas Navahna Parayan and Pravachan held at the Ram Temple in Sahada Panchayat. Known for his profound knowledge and eloquent oratory, Professor Bej captivated audiences with his teachings, bringing spiritual guidance and enlightenment.
The unexpected demise occurred on the second day of the three-day event, March 31. While addressing an attentive audience, Professor Bej suddenly collapsed on stage. He was immediately rushed to Bhadrak Medical College and Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
Professor Bej, a resident of Aduan Dhatapur in Basudevpur block, leaves behind a legacy of inspiring sermons and deep spirituality. His teachings resonated deeply with both scholars and devotees, who now mourn the loss of a revered figure in their community.
