Bonai: Panic gripped the residents of villages under Bonai forest area of Sundergarh district as a elephant wreaked havoc here.
Reportedly, the elephant damaged crops & two houses at Talita village under Bonai forest range.
According to the sources, the elephant entered into the villages in search of food and destroyed acres of standing paddy crops and vegetable crops.
The farmers in the villages have been spending sleepless nights with the elephants on a rampage.
While no casualties have been reported so far, efforts to drive the jumbo into the wild are on.
