Significance of Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr
Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is considered one of the most sacred periods in Islam. It commemorates the revelation of the Quran to humanity.
During this month, Muslims observe daily fasting (Roza) from dawn to dusk, beginning with a pre-dawn meal (Sehri) and ending with Iftar after sunset. Devotees also engage in regular prayers (Namaz) throughout the day.
Eid-ul-Fitr marks the conclusion of Ramadan and celebrates the breaking of the fast. The festival is observed with prayers, charitable giving, and gatherings with family and friends. It also highlights the importance of generosity, as people share food and extend support to those in need.
A Message of Harmony and Inclusion
The messages from national leaders reflect the spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr—promoting unity, empathy, and social harmony. The festival continues to serve as a reminder of shared values and collective well-being across diverse communities.
