Bhubaneswar: Director of Medical Education and Training (DMET) CBK Mohanty has advised the people not be scared of the coronavirus vaccine.
Mohanty’s advice comes at a time when Odisha has completed two phases of Covid vaccination drive. He told the media on Friday that there is no need for being frightened of the vaccine. Mohanty said he is a doctor himself he shall definitely get himself vaccinated if given the opportunity.
Responding to queries, the DMET said the Government has allowed mass use of the vaccine after it has undergone various stages of clinical trials.
Mohanty said we have two choices- either to survive under coronavirus scare forever or get vaccinated. The better option should be opted, he added.
The DMET dismissed the health hazards post-vaccination as false and frivolous.
