Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar – the Capital City of Odisha – has crossed yet another milestone in the COVID-19 vaccination drive with the total vaccination crossing a whopping 27 lakh mark. As of December 9, 2021, a total of 27,03,333 jabs have been administered to beneficiaries across all eligible age groups by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
A total of 27,03,333 jabs have been administered to beneficiaries in the city including 12,87,827 people who have taken both doses. Similarly, 14,15,506 people have been administered only the first dose.
BMC has given top priority in vaccination of frontline workers who have contributed tremendously to the contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
The City Administration has been taken steps to ensure that every healthcare worker in the city is vaccinated at the earliest as they are the true heroes in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The BMC has been aggressively running the “Har Ghar Dastak” campaign to ensure no person is left behind in the vaccination exercise in the city.
