Dhamnagar: The ruling BJD and principal opposition BJP in Odisha made last-ditch efforts to woo voters on the concluding day of campaigning for the by-election to Dhamnagar assembly seat, the voting for which will be held on November 3.
Union Minister and BJP’s star campaigner Dharmendra Pradhan today canvassed for party candidate Suryabansi Suraj with a massive road show in the constituency.
Hitting the campaign train, Pradhan had earlier also held huge ralles and seek votes in favour of party candidate.
Pradhan questioned the Naveen Patnaik government on various issues. What has he done for the Dhamnagar in last 22 years? Pradhan asked.
The BJD has also not remained behind. Roping in Ollywood actors, the regional party also made a super show on the last day to pull crowd.
On Monday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had urged the voters to support BJD candidate Abanti Das through a video link. Senior party leaders of the regional outfit, who had flocked the coastal constituency and camped there for last few days, today returned home.
The voting will be held on November 3 while counting will be held on November 6.
