Mumbai: After initial reluctance, BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis has agreed to be part of the Maharashtra government. BJP chief JP Nadda confirmed the news through a tweet.

BJP national president JP Nadda said that central leadership has decided that Devendra Fadnavis should become part of the govt and urged him to be the deputy CM.
No one had expected such a turnaround as Fadnavis was touted to be the next CM with Shinde playing the second fiddle. That was until Fadnavis pulled the masterstroke leaving all political pundits scratching their heads.
Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Thursday and staked claim to power. Later in a press briefing, Fadnavis said that Shinde was going to be the next Maharashtra Chief Minister.
