Delhi’s air quality deteriorates to ‘moderate’

New Delhi: Delhi’s air quality on Wednesday deteriorated to ‘moderate’ category from ‘satisfactory’, with the city recording an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 193, according to SAFAR-India.

According to SAFAR estimates updated at 6.30am, several areas in the national capital including Delhi University, Lodhi Road, IIT-Delhi, and Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3) recorded air quality in the ‘moderate’ category with an AQI of 193, 173, 186, 197. respectively.

However, some parts of the national capital recorded air quality in the poor category including PUSA, Mathura Road with an AQI of 225 and 232 respectively.

The air quality in National Capital Region (NCR) was also recorded in both the ‘satisfactory’ and ‘poor’ categories. Gurugram and Noida recorded an AQI of 93 and 211 respectively on Tuesday morning.
